Tabs For Shriners
Hospital For Children

Those pesky little tabs on every beverage
can, what to do with them? Here's the answer, save them and donate
them to the Shriners Hospital for children. Everyday, over $1.6
million is spent on operating the 22 Shriners Hospitals throughout
North America and here is a way for you to help that doesn't cost
a dime. When you are finished with your beverage, just remove the
tab and start helping out our tab drive. When you have accumulated
a bowl, bucket, or barrel full of these little gems, bring them to
the credit union (1251 N. Front St., Reading or 806 Mountain Home
Road, Sinking Spring).
Once the tabs are collected and sent to a
collection site, they are weighed and money is earned per pound.
The money raised is put into good use helping the patients and so
far thousands of dollars have been raised through the tab program.
Remember, helping children is the most important cause! Since
1926, Shriners Hospital for Children, Philadelphia has been
providing medical care at no cost to children between the ages of
birth to 18 years of age, with orthopaedic conditions resulting
from injuries and diseases of the bones, joints and muscles as
well as spinal cord injuries.
